Three Ways to Hydrate your Summer Training with Matcha Lemonade

If you're looking for a beverage that is equal parts sunshine and fresh cut grass, feels like summer and is slightly caffeinated, look no further than matcha lemonade. We taste tested three ways to incorporate matcha lemonade into your summer hydration & nutrition plan.

Pre-training: Add 1 tsp high quality matcha (we get ours from Spice Merchants) to your desired number of scoops of Skratch lemon-lime hydration according to your sweat rate.

During training: Add 1 tsp matcha to 7 scoops of Skratch Super High-Carb lemon-lime. Then fill your bottle halfway with water, shake well, fill your bottle to the tippy top and shake again. Your bottle might look like frog pond water but I promise it'll be delicious.
Post-training: Enter the original matcha lemonade which I had for the first time at Velodrome. If you're making it at home, add 1 tsp matcha with a small amount of water and mix well. This can be done with a milk frother or shake in a lidded mason jar. Once mixed, top with lemonade of choice, ice and enjoy!
